Link Building : University of Plymouth
An imposing new façade advertises the extensive refurbishment of a tired and inefficient 1960s block. Its distinctive presence has since raised the profile of the School of Psychology within town and university and complements the new cultural axis through the campus.
Circulation and relaxation areas combine on the first floor to stimulate visual dialogue with the new landscaping outside. The second floor has offices, laboratories and research spaces in a more formal arrangement. The new third floor, made possible by the buttressing, represents future expansion space for the university.
