UCL Lecture Theatres : University College London

Teasing high quality learning environments from tired building stock demands knowledge of lecture theatres, support and breakout spaces, accessibility, and the problems of working with listed buildings. By specifying a family of technically high quality components for sound attenuation, AV and ventilation, invigorated by colour and texture, we devised a strategy for delivering elegant and controlled learning environments for UCL. The palette was carried through the support spaces to create a series of self-contained suites that can double as publicly lettable, revenue generating environments.
