Charlie Leadlay

Director

Charlie has been with the practice for 15 years and has a wealth of experience in a number fields including high-end residential, commercial fitout and working with historic buildings. He has recently completed the Object Based Learning Lab within UCL’s Grade I listed Wilkins Building and has gained Planning and Scheduled Monument Consents for the Marine Biological Association Master Plan set within the environs of the Citadel in Plymouth providing a new set of state-of-the-art laboratories along with a new reception and education centre. He has experience across all work stages and has worked both client and contractor sides on many Design and Build and Traditionally procured projects. He studied Architecture at Brighton University, University of Greenwich and completed his RIBA Part 3 at University of Westminster.

As Burwell’s Environmental Manager, Charlie chairs the practice’s internal environmental committee and oversees our environmental management system which gained ISO14001 accreditation in 2012. He has led the way for the practices Carbon Offsetting incentive which ensures that the Company gives back the Carbon we use by way of planting trees in primary schools across our home borough in Lewisham.
