GPE Marketing Suite, Kent House

Great Portland Estates appointed Burwell Architects to design a new Marketing Suite at Kent House in London.

Our client wanted to move their marketing suite, previously at Oxford House. Feasibility proposals were drawn up to relocate the suite to Elsley House in Soho, before a new location was found at Kent House, an iconic Art Deco building in the heart of London’s vibrant West End. The brief specified the design of a hi-tec space that would enable a wide variety of presentations to different sized groups. From small scale intimate meetings, to seminars and large group presentations. A system of moveable display panels were designed and specified, to enable different space configurations for different events. Kitchens and areas to serve refreshments to visitors are located centrally.

The existing floor plan had been fitted out for cellular offices, so the lighting and servicing configuration had to be adapted and upgraded. A presentation area that accommodates 80 people required increased cooling and ventilation demand compared to standard office space, and so new ahu handling was required and installed at roof level.
